Re: Moving the extruder away from printed piece at the conclusion of printing

In Simplify go to scripts and ending script and put something in like this: G91 ; Make coordinates relative G1 Z2 F1000 ; Move z 2mm up G90 ; Use absolute coordinates again G1 X0 Y0 F1000 ; Move bed and printhead to ergonomic position This would move the hed up 2mm and then go to the x/y-0

Re: Tec4 (simplify3D) printer profiles

Ok, would be great to disable it because in 90% I print with one of the extruders only and do not want to heat up both. Octopi has also a Repetier-Firmware setting editor but I could not find the (right) setting there.

Re: Tec4 and 2/3* parts I created

I don't use onboard slicing (use simplify3d) but there is an option for Cura slicing with Octopi.

Tec4 (simplify3D) printer profiles

I got my Tec4 Dual yesterday (was using a v3 since ~4 years). Now after some testing I can say that some of the features are very nice: Bed leveling for example! Nevertheless, there are some annoying things as For the new Z-Home the printer heats up the (both)head(s) to 120°C I had simplify3D and im...

Tec4 and 2/3* parts I created

Hi All! I got my Tec4 Dual-head yesterday and had to equip it with some of my loved tool mounts. I liked the Tec4 spool holder and based on it some other tools. You can find them on https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2632168 I control the printer via Octoprint and bought a RaspiZeroW kit: https://www...

Re: Prrinting with ABS

I put a peace of my wife's old Ironing Board Covers on the bottom of the bed (with glue) and it heats up now to 90+ degrees!

Re: Noisy temps, melted PEEKs, firmware 0.92 & heater decouples

On the hotend (Aluminium block part) there are the screws on the bootom where the Thermistor (temperature sensor) and the heater are fastened. Make sure they are not loose, because after some 'hot' printing time they seem to get loose. The only other reson I had was broken cables. I was already thin...

Re: Noisy temps, melted PEEKs, firmware 0.92 & heater decoup

In my case, without any special cabling and all signals together (I did not look at this when had to re-wire because of a broken motor cable), I had same problem but after fastening the thermristors and the heaters when they were hot the problem was gone. Using the last firmware from downloads secti...

Re: Heater Decoupled since updating to latest firmware

At first the Repetier host (I don't use it because I use Octoprint wireless) works with all firmware versions. I am now since long time on 0.92.? but I fastened my inbus screws for the heaters and thermristors. This seemed to be the source of the strange readings. At the moment no problem anymore, I...
