Re: September 2014 Firmware Update

Kerog,

none of the commands you have mentioned was supported by the old Repetier firmware 0.91. Maybe you simply have not noticed it.

IMHO there was not ANY Gcode command removed with the new version 0.92. Just have a look into Repetier.ino or the source Commands.cpp.

Re: strange thing

There is nothing strange with it and maybe you are not doing anything wrong. The effect is the mechanical ringing of the moving parts of the printer. You can see it not only on the circle and the HOT but also on the very left edge of the printed part. That's the same effect, you may not have noticed...

Re: KISSlicer rotation bug?

Thanks for the hint, it solves the issue for the moment. But I still consider it a bug because the previous versions (that were available from Felix) have worked as expected, even with the "Auto-rotate" box checked.

KISSlicer rotation bug?

I have tried the recently uploaded new kisslicer version "20140718 - KISSlicer_1.4.4.7.zip". The name of the archive claims it's version 1.4.4.7 but actually it's only 1.4.4.6. When I simply try to load any stl model and rotate it 90°, it actually rotates 180°. Using 45° or 270° does not help either...

Re: I think no heating... def / 0C on display

Well, there was a spare thermistor included in my dual Felix kit, a few months ago. Maybe the packing list has changed.
If you can't take measurements and don't have a spare part, you can try waggling/beding the cable pack to the extruder cart to check if there is a broken joint.

Re: I think no heating... def / 0C on display

Leave the termistors where they are for the moment. Measure their resistance to see which one or which ones cable is actually broken. The termistor cables have some solder(?) joints to increase their length. If you can't measure, try replacing with the spare part that comes with the machine - just c...

Re: I think no heating... def / 0C on display

Have you already tried checking the thermistors and their cables? I remember that the Repetier-Firmware displayed "def" for all temperature readings when actually only one thermistor was broken on my machine.

Re: Dual E3D Bowden Hotend Upgrade for V3.0

Hi Seaton, I like your design and I'd like to learn about your progress. However, when comparing your airguide with the original E3D one that comes with the hotend, I wonder why you don't cover all the heatsink fins. It appears to me that the cooling of the lower part is essential to keep the amount...

Re: second extruder reverse direction

This is strange; I'm using a new Felix 3.0 board and the Dual-Firmware with the original setting

Code: Select all

#define EXT1_INVERSE 1
and the wiring is as it should be. It worked out of the box. Maybe there is a difference in the wiring of the PCB between the revisions.
