Re: ABS boiling ? Fail with acetone bath

Hi Boris, have a look at my post (GGY) in this "General" section from Wed 21 May 2014 titled: acetone vapor polishing ABS.
There I describe how I perfectly polish ABS parts in an attached PDFs document.
Let me know if it works as good for you as it does for me.
cheers George :)

Re: Alu beams

Hi bluey, I have no confirmation that Felix actually gets it's profiles from item. I just found that all hardware parts to assemble the profiles (frame connectors, T-slot nuts etc.) are identical. The Item profiles I bought for my mods also look identical to my Felix 3 profiles (have not measured th...

Kapton heater insulation

Hello all, I could not reach temperatures higher than 80C to my print surface. (Felix 3.0) With this insulation (see attached *.pdf) the temperature gets there very fast and I can easily reach ~120C. I print generally with ABS only. For the ABS to stick to the print-bed surface I now set the print b...

Re: Alu beams

Hi killejano,
the Alu beams are from a German firm called "Item"
www.item24.com
I have purchased several beams and bits to modify / re-design my printer here in Australia (print table substructure).
The only problem is that the Item parts are pretty expensive.
Good luck with your mods.

Looking for the new Felix 3.0 controller board Specs

Hi Guillaume and Felix users, I am in the process of designing a new print-bed with it's adjusting and heating substructure for my new Felix 3.0. (I will post it on this forum once done). I intend to make the print-bed easily removable from the adjusting and heating sub-structure for easy maintenanc...
