Re: [WIP] Bowden extruder

Correction:
Played with Sketchup trying real scales.. Alu plates must be 42x42 and not as stated ie 26x40
Will post more details....and a sketchup model/file of my 4-nozzle-concept-hot-end.

Re: [WIP] Bowden extruder

Hey dognotdog, We are miles apart and we're thinking the same! I like your Bowden extruder but I think the rubber bands are too weak. Below please find two photos of my Mig feeder mechanism. Should be of inspiration...basically the concept is the same and reliability is a guarantee. a7.jpg a6.jpg I ...

Re: X axis wire support bracket

Kjetilei: It's a concept! Electronics? That would be the last part! I'm working on the mechanics now. Inspiration came from my Mig Welder feeder mechanism. Putting 4 steppers on the X axis is not a good idea. Extruder...emm....4 heads. Single head with 4 nozzles....emm....more plausible. Let's see! ...

Re: New Box For Electronics.

Hi Kjetilei, PSU: Sorry, I don't have any photos of the PSU internals. In brief: MAKE SURE ************** UNPLUG THE UNIT BEFORE STARTING *********** 1. Remove the cover (screws are visible). 2. Remove the PCB (there are 4 screws at the corners) leaving fan & main cables attached to the PCB. 3. Lift...

Re: X axis wire support bracket

Kjetilei: Thanks for your comments. I believe a working part/machine is enough, fullstop. It doesn't have to look right but work efficiently. I admit, I'm not the king of esthetics.(not even near!) Felix is the exact opposite- both worlds mix up to a beauty. Buy the way, I'm working on a four-way ex...

Re: New Box For Electronics.

Kjetilei: I don't have any plans to mount the LCD/SD. I tried it, but honestly, it's a pain. I don't like it at all! From the PSU, I removed does extra wires/plugs which are not needed- 4th photo above. Easily done with a soldering iron and some shrinkable tubing. Some care is to be taken, PSU is qu...

New Box For Electronics.

Hi to all, I redesigned a "new" Electronics Box which I believe it has some advantages compared to the original. Among; 1) Box is bigger, wires are more in place. 2) Used a bigger cooling fan and connected it to 12v rather than 5v ..........cooling improved for sure 3) Used fan with leds. You know w...
