Re: Next version wannahaves

I feel the inherent 'play' in the Z-axis linear bearing is allowing this 'Z wobble' to take place....if the machine had a better Z axis linear bearing then the lead-screw straightness is almost a moot point. With my Z axis I can physically wobble it myself a few mm out of place in any direction, thu...

Re: Common problems/Tips and tricks

well have to admit I run my machine from a hardware LCD controller.....so I only tune overall speed and temperature.....flowrate seems to be buried deep within the menu structure and haven't bothered to mess with it......speed + temp are the first things to get a feel for.

Re: Common problems/Tips and tricks

As I understand Feedrate and Flowrate are coded into the gcode and are subsequently generated by the slicer software.....these controls are simply global overrides based on a % of the programmed speed / rate.....so 100 = 100% programmed speed as dictated by the slicer.... For all my prints i've stuc...

Re: not printing right

to hvdd.... have you used the very latest Marlin firmware on github and tweaked it as per the Felix 1.0 or 1.5 requirements? I'm still using the 'official' Felix release but have been tracking the Marlin dev and can see a few bits and pieces that may help the overall stability and performance of the...

Re: not printing right

Just spotted this post and saw comments about re-drilling the extruder nozzle......my advice....be...VERY careful....if you touch it you will undoubtedly increase it's diameter from what ever it once was.......though how close it is to 0.35mm is anybody guess.... I used a sewing needle gently offere...

Re: [WIP] Bowden extruder

Nice experiment......has there been any further progress? I'm quite fond of the benefits a Bowden extruder offers, but wondered if anybody has managed to retina the benefits of a direct extruder yet?

Also would be great to see sample print images :)
