E3D V6 HotEnd & Bowden feed

Hallo guys. After so much trouble with the original hotends I made a decision to switch to E3D V6 trouble free hot ends. And I also decided to switch to the bowden feed style. You can see it without the tubing on my picture below. The other bowden feeder is on the other side. I want to ask you guys,...

Re: extruder broke in two

It reminds me my trouble with the hot ends. I couldn't print ABS. The temperature around 230ºC damaged the peek part. I have got a new peek part from Felix, updated a firmware and it happened again. It was really annoying. I have bought new hot ends ED-V6. I need to machine the interface to put them...

Re: New hotend peek melted

Well, I got a new peek too and the same problem again. I absolutely agree with the "Stillcool40". It is the problem of the peek's material grade, but I wouldn't take it as a defence of the Felix. They should make sure they supply high standard one.

I also re-cabled the thermistors and as somebody made a point here a put them completely separate from high amp wires.

Re: all temp readings show 'def' and printer goes offline

Not sure if what you saying is the case, but I get "def" reading once there is any disconnection of any of my two thermistors. Maybe check connections. Or maybe faulty thermistor?

Re: New hotend peek melted

I got NO answer back from the company. Failing thermistor? I think it is a bulsh... just to avoid a responsibility for usage of some poor quality Peek.Operating temperature of some grades is up to 250ºC (Wikipedia). That's just mid-range of ABS!! So only way is to cool it down. Does the original des...

Re: New hotend peek melted

Hi Guys,

The same problem here too. As I posted in other thread my hot end was pushed out of the barrel during the print of ABS (around 250 ºC).
Cheers,

Re: Hotend jams - not blocked

Hi Guys, I experience with some hot end problem too. Actually what happened to me during the printing of ABS (@ 250 ºC) - the hot end got pushed out of the peek separator and the thread in the insulator is gone. Not sure what caused this problem. May be some dirt in filament? I just wonder if my pri...

Re: Where can I buy the plastic hot-end heat separator?

Hi guys,

My first print with ABS and the hot end has been pushed out from the plastic separator ( :( :? ) . The thread in the plastic has been damaged. What did I do wrong :geek: ? - temp 250 degC.

Cheers,

Re: Kapton heater insulation

Hi guys, I have used the filling foam. I sprayed the bottom and it works fine too. I can reach around 106 degC in cold room. I will build the walls to close it and maintain more stable environment. Also, In my case I have a 4 mm glass on top of the bed (to maintain perfect flatness and temperature i...
