Re: Extruder motor playing up

It doesn't seem like the wire is broken in my case... How do I know for sure? :geek: Do I have to open the back of the stepper motor to check? I have attached some pictures - I think that it is difficult to see anything. I have tried to pull a little bit in each wire but they seem to be firm... Any ...

Re: Extruder motor playing up

I keep getting the same failure - it is the same as this right? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=470UHVp_ ... e=youtu.be

Posted the same error here: http://forum.felixprinters.com/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=745

I'll go check my stepper motor to see if the wire is broken! I'll keep you updated!

Re: Extruder Stepper motor fail

I unmounted the wires from the extruder motor and mounted them again - IT WORKS NOW - and the test print worked perfectly.

Thanks for the help :-)

Markus

Re: Extruder Stepper motor fail

It it pretty difficult to check if I can move the motor by hand as there is no space around it for me to grab - any tricks? Pretty sure about the wiring - it worked fine the first 5 minutes. I'll try to adjust the pot when I return from christmas holiday. I'll keep you updated - thanks for the answe...

Re: Upgrade 1.0 -> 2.0 Power Supply

Hi, Nothing seems to work :-( I have tried to connect the printer to a grounded outlet. The situation is the same. No response. A lamp on the board is blinking 4 - 5 times and then stops. No fans are on. And nothing happens if I try to turn it on via reptier host... Then I have tried to connect the ...

Re: Upgrade 1.0 -> 2.0 Power Supply

How do I do this? I'm a kind of a noob at electronics :-S
Where do I have to place the green wire then?

Actually it made me think. My power supply have no ground connection. This may be the reason? None of my electrical outlets have ground pins (only the new-made ones in my kitchen).

Re: Upgrade 1.0 -> 2.0 Power Supply

When I plug in the power cable to the printer I get a series of lights on the board. Then just some blinks from a light near the USB as indicated on the picture. Nothing happens when I try to turn it on via Reptier-Host. It actually says "Power-ON" when I start the program. No lights on the opto-sen...

Re: Upgrade 1.0 -> 2.0 Power Supply

Thanks for the reply :-)

I'm still not quite sure what to do to make it work?

I have attached a picture. This shows where I have connected the green and purple wire.

It also shows the hopelessly big amount of non-used wires. Anyone that have a clue?

Thanks,
Markus
