Re: Questions on Felix upgrade 2.0 -> 3.0

Hi Rene
I just discovered the same problem with the power supply case. I am considering using the old printed case that came with my 2.0 upgrade. Not as pretty looking as the molded case but at least it fit's .

Re: freaky printhead jam

That looks exactly like my printhead jam. I still don't know what caused the jam. But the base plate of the printhead was also deformed as a result of the heat. I am still don't know what caused the extruder to fail. One probable cause is that the cooling stopped. In combination with an extruder jam...

Re: freaky printhead jam

I indeed was thinking about a safety mechanism and two sensors measuring temperature difference make sense . I don't think the printer software has an option for this? The Filament in the top part above the peek insulation was melted but not overheated. (no bubbles formed) I had to heat up the alumi...

Re: freaky printhead jam

I was printing PLA at 205 degr. I have not tested if the fan is still working nor that it failed during printing. But the fact that the PLA was crumpled as it did is an indication to me that the temperature went up above the intended 205 degr. I still have the old extruder parts from my 1.5 felix. I...

freaky printhead jam

extruderjam.jpg During an overnight lengthy print session something went horribly wrong. But I am not sure what caused this. The base of the printhead and the door mechanism melted, the filament was still feeding and ended up like a clew between the feeder and the extruder. Any Idea's on why this h...

Re: Best practice WIKI

Indeed that's the kind of resource I am thinking of. Most problems are indeed device independent. I spend hours tweaking flow settings, print speed and what not. Until I raised the extruder temperature from 200 to 205 ˚C and the difference was remarkable. I got so frustrated that I thought of a trou...

Best practice WIKI

I am searching the forum quite a lot for solutions that can cure my printing problems and is not always easy because certain solutions are hidden in not very descriptive topic names. Making good quality prints is in my opinion still a black art  Finding the best print speed, flow rate, prev...

Re: V1.5 to V2 upgrade firmware

Perhaps I should start a new topic in the software section. Calibrating the extruder?
