Re: Next version wannahaves
Option for a larger XY print area. I would love to be able to print 50x50 for example. There are very few printers that offer this size and when they do they cost $$$$$. It really shouldn't be that hard or costly to just make a larger platform, extend the rails and frame a bit. Make it a DIY expansi...

size differences depending on XY orientation of object
I'm having some very peculiar issue with my Felix 3.1 printer. I am printing an object and then a mirrored version of that object. The object should be the exact same size, but it is not, for some reason. This is how I am printing them: Screen Shot 2016-10-22 at 13.41.21.png Screen Shot 2016-10-22 a...

larger XY dimensions
I would like to print something that requires the double amount of X dimension available on the Felix 3.1. I am wondering if this should be as easy as getting longer frame parts on the X direction and a larger platform. The platform I can probably make myself. The frame parts are a bit hard to find,...

3D printing is a Fire Hazard!
After leaving a print unattended for about an hour I came into my lab to find my Felix 3.1 with a hot-end completely separated from the PEEK part. Apparantly it had gotten jammed, and the guide wheel grip was strong enough to have the PLA filament push out the hot-end straight out. IMG_9991-20160415...

Re: extruder broke in two
Felix is shipping me new parts to repair the extruder! Hopefully I'll have those in before the weekend. I'll post the outcome of the repair here.

Re: extruder broke in two
It's hard to tell. There is molten plastic to be seen, but once it cooled down I can't move it anymore. I don't want to make it more broken than it is. I e-mailed Felix yesterday and got a reply today. Looks good so far. They say that there may have been a problem with older firmware causing the the...

extruder broke in two
My secondary extruder, which I only today started using with PVA, has broken in two :( I noticed the PVA was stuck, so I retracted it up, and then had it intract again. Somehow the force of the insertion wheel was large enough to make the extruder break in pieces! http://i.imgur.com/yi5Dn1q.jpg http...

Re: complaint: quality of the manual and parts
Hear hear. The pots instruction also had me head-scratching. If the settings are important, at least include degrees or something that you can kind of calibrate to. And at the very least explain what each pot is for! Someone actually did an annotated version of the manual, but it's an older version:...

Re: Autolift Hotend on Kickstarter
Wow, autoretract hotends. This is exactly what I think the dual extruder system needs on the Felix 3.0! Would love to see anyone have this in action...
