Re: New extruder carriage design for E3D Bowden Hot end V5

Hi, this is the old V5 hot end. Unless you have a V5 you need this carriage. The new one E3D sells is the V6. This is the V6 carriage: http://www.felixprinters.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=1078 Just use the E3D heater and thermistor. The Felix version is too big. Use the recommended thermistor sett...

Re: Pro 1 same display as Aldi printer or vice versa?

Both printers run the same open source Repertier firmware to control the printer.

Re: printer stops during printing

What does the computer say when the print is failing? Is there a communication error? Did you replace the USB cable? In my experience USB cables with Ferrite cores (those cylinders on the cable) gave me communication errors. Add a display + SD card reader and try to print from SD: http://www.ebay.nl...

Why don't you use the non-Felix branded Repetier? Works fine.

Don't think they sell the solid plates anymore. Also the sandwich plate is thicker, so it should be more resistant against bending. But I don't have any experience with the sandwich plate.

Re: Bed is not flat anymore ;(

I'm using a 2mm aluminium plate with cheap 2mm normal glass on it:
Sportdag-1034.jpg
-Inkjet printer sticker (sticks better than kapton)
-2mm glass (from picture frame)
-2mm Alu plate (original came with Felix 1.5)
-Kapton Heater
-Isolation (piece of ironing board cover).

Re: Bed is not flat anymore ;(

Is this the solid aluminium plate or the new laminated aluminium plate? I still use the solid version, and a removable glass plate. The glass plate does make the Y more heavy but the benefits made me to do this anyway. - Super flat bed - Easily to remove large printed objects by removing the complet...

Re: Looking for OPT1/OPT2 documentation and free Pins

The Felix-board firmware is fully compatible with the RAMPS firmware. So I the RAMPS and Felix-board have the same pin assignments. You can see the free pins of the Atmel in the RAMPS scematic: http://reprap.org/mediawiki/images/f/f6/RAMPS1.4schematic.png (pins that don’t have an assigned label are ...
