Re: PLA not sticking just after moves

Hi matthijs,

Thanks for the reply, and it makes sense - sometimes the obvious gets lost in the panic ;)

I've just purchases a capacitance proximeter sensor and I'm going to try to get some auto levelling working as I'm fed-up of doing it by hand.....

Cheers

Question on print

Hi,

Does anyone have any thoughts on why I'm getting this during my print, see picture - is the filament too hot?

Many thanks

Re: PLA not sticking just after moves

Hi gjeliksdal, Sorry for the delay in replying, been away. The filament is still the same as I got when I got the printer (a few year's ago now), can it go off? I'm using CuraEngine with the default Felix settings; it seems to get worse the higher the quality. Normal quality is ok usually, draft ok ...

PLA not sticking just after moves

Hi, Not been on here for a while, but started a new project. I've updated to the latest firmware and had some good results. I'm use a Felix 3 with Blue Tape. Although I get some good results, I've noticed that when it moves to a new location to start printing, the first couple of mm of plastic doesn...

Re: Print dimensions don't match design

Hi Hugues,

Many thanks. I sort of found the setting and was trying with a pen mark but your idea is far better.

Thanks

Print dimensions don't match design

Hi, I've now got my V3 upgraded printer working and the prints look very good in deed. No more z-axis wobble; nice clean surfaces :D However, I'm seeing some minor problems with dimension where the print size does not match the design size (I'm using Creo Elements as the design package). There is ju...

Re: V1.5 to V3

All,

Just in case anybody else has a similar problem; it was a faulty electronics board. I got a new one (thanks to Guillaume for a quick delivery before Christmas :D) and it all works very well.

Re: V1.5 to V3

Hi Dreide,

Thanks anyway for you input on the leads.....

Re: V1.5 to V3

Hi Dreide, Well I've worked with Ardunios before and when the single green light flashes it has meant in the past that the board will not work. Other factors include that the Ardunio SDE will not download the firmware it either times out or reports out of sync. Searching on Google shows that these s...

Re: V1.5 to V3

Thanks Dreide, I finally worked it all out, but somewhere in the process of doing so I've managed to 'brick' the electronics board :-( From what I can see on the Ardunio forums, it needs a new bootloader programming, and although I've got another Ardunio that I could use as a programmer, the Felix e...
