Re: Hotbed warped

Use picture frame glass sheet, about A4 size. Thick glass takes longer to heat and makes the bed heavy. These picture frame glasses are easy to get, cheap and light. Heat the bed to working temp, check with the glass where the bump(s) is/are and put some mark on those spots. Apply something like the...

Re: Website / Forum rehaul

Some fixes seem to be done. But still there are bugs in the css. For example quite a few images are not shown in the forum. Seems like -icon suffixed styles are missing or half-done. F.e. pm-icon, report-icon, quote-icon, etc. And the font size in the message body should be bigger as not all of us h...

Website / Forum rehaul

Once again the site gets revamped? Some observations: 1. Login will not work before you remove old cookies for it. 2. Some images on the site are HUGE. With slow connections (f.e. with mobile phone) it takes a while for the pages to load. Some optimization would be a good idea. 3. Color theme is a b...

Re: something wrong with extrusion ... HELP

So it was under extrusion, ie. the extruder wasn't able to push filament into hotend fast/easy enough. You still might have only cured the symptom and not the real issue which might be clogged hotend and/or too low/high extruding temperature latter being cause by faulty thermistor which happend to m...

Re: something wrong with extrusion ... HELP

You should give a bit more information. What your setup is (software and hardware) temperatures, speeds etc. As always, Google helps (search for "3d printing problems" for example): http://reprap.org/wiki/Print_Troubleshooting_Pictorial_Guide http://reprap.org/wiki/A_list_of_common_problems It looks...

Re: Heated bed insulation using aerogel

I had it shipped to my hotel in New York (I go there at least once a month). I don't remember the shipping cost, but it was not that expensive. Yeah, shipping outside US is quite expensive nowadays. And that makes it really expensive since (at least here in Finland) the toll fees are calculated of ...

Re: Heated bed insulation using aerogel

Kinda expensive considering the shipping fee alone is over 100 USD. :o

I'll stick to the cardboard "patent" for now. :)

EDIT: I had another item in my cart when I was ordering. With only this one blanket it's still over 50 USD for shipping. Group order anyone..? :D

Re: Felix 3.0 Replacement Parts

I wish there were upgrade packs also for us who have already upgraded from 1.5 to 2.0. And more choices WHAT to upgrade. For example I did not upgrade to the new electronics and still don't need to. I also only want to get SOME of the injection molded parts NOT all of them..and possibly that new bed...
