Is there something like a Path Slicer?

While trying to print airfoils I hit an elementary problem. In order to get a light wing I want to have the wing hull only 1 extrusion wide thick and also the infill which is just a smooth wave.. like a sinus -wave fitted in should be only one extrusion wide thick and best done in one peace. If I tr...

Successful restart after a 2 month break

Just thought why not giving a short positive feedback because I am just happy. My 3d-printer Laptop had a SSD crash and I lost everything on it. Be carefully with this modern SSD they are not half as thrustworthy as the HD. I was so demotivated by all the data that I lost that I never set it fully u...

Re: Hot End Loose

I would make sure it's not rotating. I think it is not reliable in accuracy if it does rotate while printing. You don't know how it rotates it might well cause x,y position shifts. A lose part doing something undefined is never good. Also I am not sure if it's so good when it touches that bearing wh...

Re: Hot End Loose

When my became loosen after my many extruder exchanges I put a small piece of fibre-Tape (my translation of the German word "Gewebeband") in the rounding of the door that clamps the extruder. Here is a page with a picture (German) http://www.industrial-packaging.de/de/produkte/produkt_daten_ext.php?...

Re: Printing ElectronicBoards - small holes and pitch proble

That you get an idea what I am trying: http://abload.de/img/printedelectronicboarcyjon.jpg left is the BasePlate right is the cover plate. the BasePlate and the Cover Plate will both become equiped with 0.5mm wires in the channels. Then the cover and the Base plate will be screwed together. The IC r...

Printing ElectronicBoards - small holes and pitch problem

I tried to print some sort of an Electronic-Board. Basically a thin plate (2.8mm) with small holes where I will put the resistor and IC's in and 0.5mm wires in caves as circuit path. It should hold together by correct design and tight tolerances. It's an Idea I got. This means it should have holes a...

...uring a run since those melt around 200 degree. And if they took higher temperature ones they risk to damage the sensor when assembling.. sorry for the newbie question, but i might have to do this mod, as i bought ABS.... but what kind of solder should i use then ? I took the one that I had at h...

Re: Another thermistor bites the dust

That catched my eye too when I took one of my destroyed sensors apart. If they used normal common solder then I expect it to become loosen during a run since those melt around 200 degree. And if they took higher temperature ones they risk to damage the sensor when assembling. Also I wonder if the fi...

Re: Another thermistor bites the dust

I don't know how others did it but I can tell you how I have done it. There is a picture over there in the Arnitel Thread: http://www.felixprinters.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=248&start=20 (it's my old experimental extruder so it doesn't looks so nice anymore but I don't care it has to work) I spr...
