Re: e3d Titan Extruder

Hi Paul, I updated the firmware to Repetier 0.929 and changed to EXT0_TEMPSENSOR_TYPE 8, and also the other settings in the V6 firmware guide: https://e3d-online.dozuki.com/Guide/V6+Repetier+Configuration/24?lang=en And also adjusted the E-steps-per-mm in the EEPROM by measuring the lenght of extrud...

Re: Dual Felix 3.0 Fan Shroud

Nice fan shroud!

It seems that everyone is moving to E3D... I'm in the process of changing mine too.

Re: Bowden feeder with easy release on fillament tension

Hi satoer, Thanks for the great designs of E3D-V6 hotend carriage and this Bowden Feeder! I'm planning on making them as having jamming problems with my current Felix 2.0 set up :( Can this feeder be used with a drive gear like this one from E3D? http://e3d-online.com/Mechanical/Extruders/Hobb-Gobli...

Shipping a Felix

Just wondering if anyone has any tips about packing up a Felix for shipping.

I was thinking of removing the print bed and y-axis so that there would be less mass on the z-axis, in case of a dropped box shock.

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated....

Thanks!

Re: print quality problem

@gobi
I'm not sure if there are potentiometers to adjust motor current limit on your version of the electronics.
I had a similar problem so adjutsed the current limit up a bit to overcome the motor skips. Also reduced the tension on the filament a little.

EMC problem causes printer lockup

Printer has been working fine up till now. But last night had a couple of aborted prints due to an EMC problem. I have the printer in my workshop connected to a laptop via USB. The problem occurred when I turned on/off the workshop lights (flourescent). Print stopped and no response from Felix displ...

Re: Nylon and Arnitel.

I also did some experimenting today with "Flex EcoPLA" from Formfutura. Looks like it is very similar to Arnitel. Had a bit of a problem with the filament jamming on the way into the extruder. As it is more flexible it tends to bunch up between the extruder motor and top of hot end. After increasing...

Re: print quality problem

@ gobi I had the same problem with a clogged hot end about half way thru prints and the extruder motor would be clicking. Solved it by changing the extruder cooling fan to 12V: http://www.felixprinters.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=347 So it must have been hot plastic creeping back up the extruder ...

Re: Printed Parts

Good to see what's being made on a Felix! perhaps this should be a sticky topic? Here's what I made today with my Felix 2.0: Sun Umbrella Base (105mm wide, 100 high, volume 262cc, "4_1 Production exterior support" profile, 13hours 24minutes): Umbrella Base Printing.jpg Umbrella Base.jpg Sun Umbrella...
