The 3.0 heater sticker has some pretty thick leads coming out of it in the middle, so I don't think it would do very well on the top of the bed...

The Hiwin rails are much, much stiffer than the 8mm rod/bearing setup. Especially if you used cheap bearings.

Of course you need a special adapted to fic it to the Felix, but this shouldn't be an issue.
