Been printing at 240c the past few days, don't know if this could be the cause of my problem,
as you can see in the picture below, my print head is sagging towards the bed. The air exaust is now a little lower than the tip of the extruder and is touching the last layer being printed
What are my options ? print that part in ABS?
or scrape a bit of the exaust so it does not touch ?
But the extruder axis is not completely perpendicular to the print bed anymore, wonder if this is a problem !?
Sagging printhead assembly
It definitely won't help quality, if you print like that. Print a new carriage out of ABS, while you still can. BTW, is your fan wired to 5V only? Maybe putting it to 12V will prevent even PLA from sagging further, due to the more effective cooling.
i'll do that, thanks.dognotdog wrote:It definitely won't help quality, if you print like that. Print a new carriage out of ABS, while you still can. BTW, is your fan wired to 5V only? Maybe putting it to 12V will prevent even PLA from sagging further, due to the more effective cooling.
As for the fan voltage, it's a Felix 2.0, pre-built, so i don't know if 5 or 12v, but i'll measure it tonight.
i remember reading about this on the forum, but can't find the thread anymore.
Could someone give me some pointers on where to get 12volts from the board for the fan ?
thanks

So i'm gonna print the whole carriage out of ABS,
Guillaume has posted the gcode here
http://www.felixprinters.com/downloads/ ... ruder_2_0/
But as i will be using ABS, i defintely need to add a brim before printing, that means i need the stl file of this part, or Guillaume has to slice it and add a brim and send me the gcode,
Anyone has the stl file ?
Guillaume are you able to add a brim to your stl file, (using the new skirt.py file linked http://www.felixprinters.com/forum/view ... =346#p2277) ?

Hi Hugues,
Here are the STLs for the base. On the electronics board there is a soldering jumper. When you remove that the voltage to the main fan will be 12V. Now with the jumper on it is approx 5V.
Kind regards,
Guillaume
