Problems keeping hot-ends level

Post by kerog »

I'm having trouble keeping the two hot ends level relative to each other. When they get out of alignment with each other, I loosen the fan screws, adjust, and retighten. But then before long they are no longer level vs. each other.

Has anyone else had this experience? Any suggestions?

Hey ... I had the 'same' problem ... couldn't keep the 2 heads level ... one destroyed what the other printed ... tried everything ... nothing helped ... and then I did the following ... the 'copper wire hardware hack' ... :D ... I put a copper wire around both hot ends (2,5 mm I think) ... I hope the image shows it ... and ... no problem anymore ... heads stay level ...

I hope this helped ...

Best regards,

Jef

I put a washer on each of the extruders where you have the wires.

Wire seems to work for me, thanks! I'm using 1mm (18 gauge) and wrapping it a couple times around.

How would you get a washer around that? Do you have photos?
