Wiring of the ATX

Post by Sündi »

Hi Felix community, since last week I am an happy owner of a Felix printer. During the assembly I found a dissonance between the manual and the datasheet of the ATX powersupply, because the ATX datasheet said there are two 12V voltages. One with 8A and one with 14A. The Manual said I have to connect all with the one with 8A. I decided for me to connect the hot end with the 8A and the heated bed with the 14A 12V voltage. If the ATX datasheet is correct, this could be a problem.

Hi Sündi, To my knowledge there is internally a 8A and 14A rail. Power of both rails will be available to all yellow(12V) cables. So it doesn't matter which yellow cable you take. In theory it should be able to supply 14+8A. However one cable in the powersupply is not able to transport 22A, so therefore there are more cables available to connect to the powersupply.

Ok, if it is like this there is no problem, but combined they have only 18A, thats enough. :D
