Print Shifting in Y-axis Direction

Post by hex »

I bought a DIY kit. I assembled everything, updated the firmware, I followed the instructions to a tee. I created a test cube of 1in and sent it to print. The print is shifting in the y-axis direction, I am unsure on how to go about fixing this. Please help. Thanks in advance!!

Your Y stepper motor is probably skipping steps.
Check if the print bed in Y direction move’s freely. Check If the belt isn’t too tight. Check if the Y stepper power pot on the control board is in the preset position (see manual) or increase the power, but make sure not to put too much power on the stepper motor, the stepper motor controller will overheat and stop at intervals.
