Post by jefstaes »

Image bad print ...
During the last prints I allways have the same problem ... printing starts ok but then the PLA flow goes wrong resulting in bad print ... see image ... it seems suddenly the PLA flow is too low ... OR? Someone any suggestions? ... I tried everything I know ... also upgraded bed and extruder to springs ...

Help ...

You should give a bit more information. What your setup is (software and hardware) temperatures, speeds etc.

As always, Google helps (search for "3d printing problems" for example):

It looks like under extrusion:

Hey JTa ... thanks for the info ... it made me better understand why some prints are bad. The problem I described above was solved by replacing the spring in the extruder with another one ... don't know why the first one gave the bad results ...

So it was under extrusion, ie. the extruder wasn't able to push filament into hotend fast/easy enough. You still might have only cured the symptom and not the real issue which might be clogged hotend and/or too low/high extruding temperature latter being cause by faulty thermistor which happend to me quite a few times before I started using E3D hotends and semitec thermistors.
