Hello!
When printing from STL file on SD card, the model is printed in inches. Since the STL file does not hold any print measurement unit information there must be a way to tell the printer what unit to use. How is that done?
Best regards, Niklas
How to set print unit of STL file to millimeters

Normally you save STLs in millimeters. If not, you can set Repetier -> "Config" -> "Units of imported objects" to "Objects are in inches" before loading the object.Niklas wrote:When printing from STL file on SD card, the model is printed in inches. When you transfer to 3D utility (Meshmixer) either Fusion or Meshmixer converts the size from inches to millimeters. When you compose an STL file, whether from the Make menu or by right clicking on the body menu, no conversion is applied.
You can also scale it by 25.4 mm / inch, or 2.54 cm/inch. The STL file doesn't actually have the units stored in it.
