filament traction - detection too sensible

Post by Pitoun »

Hello,

I really offten have my print stopped by loose traction on filaments.
I set tension screw on my Felix Pro 1 at maximum but filament dectection finds it too hard and stops.
What can I do to gain strenght on filament traction or reduce detection sensivity ?

Thank you.

Hi Pitoun,
The loss of traction could be caused by:
- bad grip on filament. Perhaps the teeth of the extruder drivewheel are full of plastic.
- Clog somewhere in the hot-end, causing a high amount of friction
- Perhaps hot-end is getting too hot.
- Bad quality filament

We have a manual on how to diagnose the sensor itself. See this link
