Mac Driver - Can't find Port

Post by paul_smyth »

Hi,

I am very new to this. I've installed Repetier Host-Mac for our Felix 2.0 but keep getting a message saying:

18:15:24: Couldn't open port for device None

Please can someone explain how to set up the Ports for a Mac as I can't find it in the instruction manual.

Thank you,

Paul

I have now solved this problem by downloading and installing:

Firmware-Marlin_V1_Felix_2_0.zip

Once Arduino and the USB Driver were installed Repetier was able to connect to the printer.

- First download the Arduino software from their website.
- Download the Felix 2.0 Firmware from the Felix download section
- Upload the firmware using the Arduino application (see instructions on the Arduino website)
- Once this is done, look which communication port has been specified in the lower right corner of the Arduino communication screen
- Go to the 'Printer -> Printer settings' in Repetier and select the right port
- Select 'Connect' from the command bar in Repetier ... and you should be connected.

Good luck!
