I've just installed the Felix 2.0 Display and was wondering if it has a backlight as mine is very dark even after adjusting the display contrast ?

Stephen,
Do you have any instructions to install this display? Or is it plug&play? After connecting mine only line 1 & 3 are blinking with dark squares. No firmware changes needed?

yes just plug and play, although I needed to adjust the contrast. Make sure that the connector is around the right way.

And how is the right Way can you describe ist Ort Post a Photo?
I'm not by my printer at the moment, but the red stripe of the LCD cable needs to go to to pin 1 on the Felix 2 board. Looking from the back of the printer at the control board, the red stripe should be on the left, you should be able to read the Pin number 1 on the PCB and orient accordingly, but the red stripe goes to pin 1. You may then need to adjust the pot on the board near the LCD connector for contrast if the screen is blank or dark. I'm not sure if the screen is back lit, mine doesn't appear to be or maybe is fault. It's very hard to read unless the room is well lit, hence my initial question. Let me know if you get yours working and if it's backlit.angryangel wrote:And how is the right Way can you describe ist Ort Post a Photo?
Unfortunately the encoder and the connecter orientation is different to that of the LCD. But basically plug in the encoder connector and if it doesn't work swap it around.

So the cable from the display must be twisted 180 degree to make the connection? Can u make a picture from the cable connection?seaton wrote:I'm not by my printer at the moment, but the red stripe of the LCD cable needs to go to to pin 1 on the Felix 2 board.
