Reprinting a section of gcode?

Post by crotpants »

I've sliced my print using SFACT.

I set up a great print, went to dinner, came back and saw the filament was jammed! I've counted 33 lines of printed filament, and the gcode window there are 39 virtual layers. How do I find in the gcode the start point I need to go back to? (Line 33?)

OK I got it.

gcode example:

G1 X169.3895 Y147.41 Z8.5 F1800.0 E4139.7582

Z=8.5mms

- I used calipers to measure height of print.
- trawled through 400,000 lines of gcode using textmate http://macromates.com (easier) to scroll through lines, refering to the z height currently printed.
- found the text I didn't need and deleted it, saved file using .gcode extension
- loaded gcode into repetier host
- fine tuned by selecting and deleting lines I didn't need after trailing new print runs on top of the object.
- All good.
