Finally received my spare hot end today - and so felt sufficiently confident to try printing a spool of Nylon - Taulman 618.
The Nylon shows great promise - and works well in the Felix. It does need to be dried in an oven in my experience - so when my spool is dry I shall post some photos of results. Sticks well to a glass bed with a layer of Cube Glue (from 3D systems)
I would urge anyone wanting to give Nylon a try to have a go. No clogs or blockages, printing at 270C and normal quality. Reduced the feed rate a little, but not sure that this will be necessary once the materiel is fully dry.
Also tried Arnitel for the first time today. Great material - no problems - printing at 230C. My next job going through the workshop is 8 weeks working on prosthetic ankle joints for the developing world. The ability to print Nylon will be priceless!
Nylon and Arnitel.

Hi Hoolito,
Find pictures attached. This is the spinner/nut holder from the spool holder by stefanomoris.
The part would be useless in this material of course - just wanted to try the Arnitel - and this was the first file I came to. The Arnitel behaves like a fairly hard durometer rubber. Very pleasing, and will come in handy - just not sure what for yet.

I also did some experimenting today with "Flex EcoPLA" from Formfutura. Looks like it is very similar to Arnitel.
Had a bit of a problem with the filament jamming on the way into the extruder. As it is more flexible it tends to bunch up between the extruder motor and top of hot end. After increasing temp to 230º it now seems to be running OK.
Has anyone used Flex EcoPLA?
Is it in fact the same material as Arnitel?
