Motors are jerky

Post by picka »

I just turned my printer on for the first time and was getting all the software set up. I homed each axis but there is a high pitch noise (sounds like something is charging up). Once the noise peaks, the motor starts to click. If I try to move the motor after this happens, it moves in bursts. All axis motors seem to be behaving this way.
Any idea whats causing it? I'll get a video up in the morning.

Thanks in advance

adjust the trim pots of the stepper drivers (if don't know what that is, just search this forum) you need 400mA (counterclockwise all, then 25% clockwise)
