Extrude before print setting

When I hit Run Job and the print job starts it homes, then goes and extrudes some filament. I presume it does this to make sure that there is some there and it is going out OK. I like to get in there with the tweesers and get rid of this before it starts to print, because sometimes it can get in the way.

Where in SFACT is this setting configured? It would be good to have a little pause after doing this to give me a bit more time to remove the extruded plastic.

also looking for the same parameter,
it should extract it at another place that is not in the way ,
or, after the purge, move the head in a way not to collide with it,
common sense i thought, but yet to be implemented...:-(

It is made in start.gmc -file in alterations folder.

The "delay" is made by taking head 10mm up in line G1 Z10 F3000. THen i commented out the move z back to 0mm to avoid print head to scratch table if there is some uneven spots or residuals (as i am lazy to clean and adjust it perfectly)

hi,

i tried your code, definitely better, but i still have a small issue the fan is still touching the dumped plastic when moving towards the part.
But i fixed it easily i just moved the dump area instead of moving 50 in x, i moved 50 in y axis, then the fan does not touch the dumped plastic
