Printer left in Car for a day

Post by seaton »

Well This is what happens when you leave a felix in a car for the day during a warm day in Australia, wasn't even in the sun.

After the Curtin RoboFair in Perth where a couple of us from our maker group had a stall and the Felix was on display, I had some training the next day so everything was left in my car... bad move :( Looks like I'm going to need to replace most parts sigh....

I haven't properly checked the X-Axis or Y-Axis yet but looks like I'll need to completely replace all printed parts for the following:

X-Axis Carriage
AirDuct
Extruder
Z-Axis
Z-Axis Stop
my Spool holder

....On a brighter note....luckily I had printed out a some spares for the X-Axis Carriage and Extruder some time ago when I first got my printer, just need to find them...not that it helps at the moment.

Wow that sucks man. Cars can get real hot inside and PLA gets soft at 60 degrees allready. The new 3.0 has injection molden parts, maybe there will be an upgrade kit.

Sorry to read about your misfortune. Contact Guillaume and see if he's able to provide you with the new injection molded parts. Best of luck!
