Printer Suddenly doesn't print correctly

Post by Rhys9 »

Hi Guys,

Looking for some input on my problem. So basically have had the printer for awhile and have done a few great prints but now all of a sudden with no changes it can't print anything without it coming messed up(see picture 1 & 2)

Now i've only just about 4weeks ago printed a 40x10 test great!!(picture 3)

What i've done so far...

- Checked all the bolts/screws are tight.
- Checked bed level, Z axis height.
- Cleaned nozzle.
- Replaced tape on hot bed.
- Changed to another Roll of PLA.

But sort of run out of ideas, seems that after printing for a while the plastic seems to not be extruding anymore but then comes good(although i can see the motor inserted plastic), all prints where done on Normal mode(no support).

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Rhys

Looks like extruder is slipping, check the extruder wheel tension is not too tight, or too loose, also check the current setting for the extruder motor that it's not too high (motor would be getting hot) but also check it's not too low and causing the motor to stall.
