Sfact slicing very vvvveeeeerrrrrrrrrrry long....

Post by martingaud »

Hi!

I'm new in the 3d printed world... and I try to slice 3 printer spares parts... after 1 hour, only 25% was done....

With another software, it took like 30 seconds...

It is normal????

I try to copy/past the gcode and I fucked up my nozzle......... now I need to clean it.... grrr

1 hour for 25% only... for 3 littles pieces...?!?

The other software was 3dstuffmaker...

Thanks!

Only to get the gcode , and then load that in repetier.

I went Kisslicer few moths ago because of Bachgassenbande and its amazing even went pro version :)

Same here, KISSlicer is the best :) it is super fast slicing and support generation is also much better.
Felix 2.0----> 3.0
V4 hot end
Simplyfy 3D
Kisslicer
Autodesk fusion 360

Another great slicer alternative is Cura. The different solutions have different pros and cons and it is a good investment to experiment a little with the different slicers.

Yesterday, I tried to import gcode from 3dstuffmaker software to repetier-host...

My nozzle instantatly stop working (the pla doesn't go out)...

I found at the startup that the purge was not made (every piece sliced with repetier host do a purge before)... it is important to do the purge before print any piece?
