Not sure what smart abs is. This is just a roll of ABS I had at home. No acetone smoothing. It's how it came off the printer

I've got 8GB ram on an i7 iMac. I think it was a problem in the file access - they don't seem to b following mac os guidelines for file handling and going to a deeper unix level, thus confusing the finder. I'm learning what NOT to do! ;)

@Setaon:
smartABS is a German engineered low-warp ABS desktop 3D printer filament. As its name implies, smartABS is an evolved variant of “normal” ABS.
This wisdom comes fromhttp://www.formfutura.com/175mm-smartabs-black.html. Some people report very good results.

Great that you didn't need to do special treatments for obtaining such a great look. Simplify3D is definitely on my wish list.

What profile? Replicator 2 as default and than use the Felix dimensions and steps?
I just made my own profile and saved it, now shows up in the machine profiles.

happy to share, but just playing getting my bearings with it atm so will change. just import the following .fff file in the settings after unzipping
The attachment Felix.fff.zip is no longer available

I do prefer the way Kisslicer handles profiles for machines, filament, support and general settings over Simplify3D

Thanks for the file,
had made some similar but run in fllowing issue.
Print starts, extruder moving in wrong direction! Arrgh.
Had to apply an offset to get it run at least????+
Additional where to apply z-lift?

This Offset I had to apply to be able to print

Any clue what I did do wrong?

Good old срез slic3r. слой 0.1 скорость 60.

без каких-либо 140$ 50 мкм.... сделать толщина слоя, но он ненавидит меня так долго ждать, даже 35 мкм... но почему?

So I'll print on, the more that your Simplify3D not even answer letters. Buy a cat in a bag for EUR 140 somehow does not want. Better buy another plastic...

Did a comparison print with my Kraken setup.
Right side Kisslicer left side Simplify3d

Maybe you can't see it that good on the picture but Simplify3d result is much better according details.
Especially the "greeting" tentakle has much better details than the one from Kisslicer

Did make a failure with Kisslicer and printed 50'% filled
Repetier told me it would take 10h but did take 16h

Simplify3D did take 5h30min as calculated from the software to print with 35% infill
