Re: [WIP] another direct dual extruder

Hi dognotdog, I tried again with different browsers and the same result, the file opens fine but when I tried to unzip it with WinRAR, 7zip - says all the files are corrupted except for the carriage.stl (only after zip repair).

For ABS, I'm concerned that the shrinkage might affect the mounting of the various hardware, so I will probably go with PLA.

Re-zipping the files on my end gives me the exact same zip archive, so I doubt a re-upload would help. Maybe try on a different computer?

I tried with Windows 7 Firefox and IE as well as Windows 8 Firefox and IE, same results, unzipping says the archives are corrupted and exits.

What browser do you use? it's getting frustrating....

Hi dognotdog, I tried two different computers, same results.
You can see the files in the winzip / WinRar / 7zip windows, but when you try to extract them, it just keeps saying the files are corrupted.

Maybe use another compressor ? 7zip or WinRar ?

Thanks, I need your help to upgrade to a dual extruder using your design.

BTW, dognotdog, on your design, looking at the images, (pardon my ignorance) why did you angle both the Nema extruder motors instead of just letting sit level ? I think it looks cool but no idea why it was set at 45 degree. is it a space issue?

Hi dognotdog, I tried and tried, cannot open your zip file with anything that does not say that it is corrupted. I seriously think that maybe it's not meant to be extracted at all. What did you used to zip it with?

Did anyone here successfully extracted the files from this zip and not just opened it to view contents? Maybe on a Mac?

*frustrated*

Sorry to all of you that cant open the archive, I tried it on Windows/Mac and its working for me :/

I don't know what I could do to make it work for you, too. Are you unzipping it with 7zip?

Tried here....

7-Zip [64] 9.20 Copyright (c) 1999-2010 Igor Pavlov 2010-11-18
p7zip Version 9.20 (locale=en_GB.UTF-8,Utf16=on,HugeFiles=on,8 CPUs)

Processing archive: dual-extruder.zip

ERROR: E_FAIL

Then with zip -FF to fix it and came up with this...
