Crinkled washer sleeve

Post by Kjetilei »

I made a quick and dirty sleeve for the crinkled washers beneath the hot bed.

It's a quick print, looks much neater and should keep the washers in place (not that i have had any problems with it).

Note: compared to the photo I have made one adjustment: Increased height with 2mm to hide all washers.

Fun observation: you can easily see the washers through the plastic :)

Wont the plastic get soft if you heat the bed above 70 degrees this way? The layered washers also act as a heatsink to dissipate the heat from the heated bed.

I only heat the bed to 60 ;) I haven't experienced any problems (yet). Had the bed at 60 degrees for 1-1.5 hours. Your milage may wary though...
