I would like to see a felix in real

Post by Nobody-86 »

Hello everyone,

I am interested in buying a 3D-printer. After comparing a lot of datasheets, the felixprinter seems to be a good choice for my purposes. Also the pictures here (http://shop.felixprinters.com/media.html) are very impressive. Nevertheless, pictures and datasheets can deceive easyly. So I would like to see one in real action and touch a printed part.

Does anyone know if there is a fair or similar where I can see one? Or Maybe there is someone living in the local enviroment who like to demonstate the printer?

I live in Germany, Ruhr Area. All citys in the near of Essen, Bochum, Dortmund or Köln (cologne) are easy to reach for me.

I have a look at the workshop locations an figured out that FELIXrobotics (De Meern, Netherlands) is aproximate 2 hours away. Fablab (Dronten, Netherlands) 2.5 hours. Is it possible to see a felix in action there?

Thanks for reading and helping,
Nobody-86.

See if there's a Maker Faire in your area. They'd definitely have one: http://makerfaire.com/

Possibly too late - but anyway: on july 11 there is an 'open office' at a shop in Belgium, not far from the Ruhr area. They will demonstrate several 3d printers and scanners. They also sell Felix printers, so there is a good chance you can see those there too: http://www.trideus.be/

Hi gertc,
short, but actually not too late. I manage to travel to Belgium yesterday. The Felix looks nice and stable. Unfortunately the test-print was not at highest quality (but still impressive).

Thanks for the Hint!
